REPORT
August l, lg78
As of July 31, Becky Loader will be the new director of the library. She
has served as assistant librarian since lg74 and is looking forward to the
challenge of her new position. Please feel free to get in touch with her
about either any questions or suggestions for the library.
Beginning in July, the library is loaning books on a bulk basis to Crest
View Lutheran Home. For the past three years, the library has loaned books
to Park View Villa in this manner, and it is a pleasure to be able to
extend this service to another facility in the city.
Two feature-length free films were shown at the library this month: The.
Apple Dumpling Gang and Tales from the Crypt. They were both attended by
enthusiastic audiences.
The children's summer programs are drawing C'rowds of children to the
library. Jo has conducted two crafts sessions and put on a miniature
carnival this month. She also has attended a performance of Hennepin
County Library's Players in a Trunk at the St. Anthony branch to see
what another library's programs are like. Jo is getting ready for the
reading club party and is in need of small prizes for the top readers.
If you have any donations or suggestions, please get in touch with her
at the library.
Tha staff also wants to thank the following people who contributed baked
