REPORT - MAY 3, 1977
There are a couple of projects for the library building that must be
taken care of this summer. The outside of the building must be
painted and a shed for the lawn equipment should be built. Anyone
who knows of a painter or cement worker who would be willing to do
this work, should please contact us at the library. The engineering
department has promised to draw some plans for the shed.
Macrina (a CETA employee) has found more lucrative work and has been
replaced by Marilyn Terre11. Also, Oorothy Yantos is helping us up-
stairs. She will be doing general housekeeping work. Becky and
Oorothy are struggling to get our periodical collection in good
working order. We're hoping this extra help will give us some ease
during vacation times.
Becky attended a seminar on audio visuals in the public library. A
Super 8 sound projector was recommended and has been purchased. A
few films will be purchased for the children's programs. We will
gradually increase the collection and possibly eventually circulating
them. This is an economy move over 16mm films.
~1o is attending the Children's Spring Workshop at St. Catherine's
this afternoon and evening. There have been some very informative
programs in the metropolitan area. The Librarian is attending a
class at St. Catherine's on young adult programs in the library.
Becky will be going to a genealogy workshop on May 16.
We're taking King Kong to the schools this spring directly from
our summer reading program,
