Report - Augus$, 1972
The ~irculat~cn figures are holding fairly steadily. In June we
average 746 books a day cut of the library. During July, there were 650
books a day. This is the typical July decline during vacation times.
The budget is ready to consider. The major increase is for salaries
anticipating an increase in minimum wage regulations.
A treadle s~wing machine has been aqquired for the folks to use for
puppet costumes. It works so well one wonders about the new technology.
We showed the movie Pollyanna four times and that way avoided some of
the congestion. Miss Jo got terribly tired of the "glad" girl.
Some work has been done on the parking lot and the amount for labor
has been deducted from the item on land in the budget, Evidently this item
is to cover the improvement on the parking lot.
The volunteers have been e~peeially faithful this summer, We are
hoping some of them will carry over into the fall.
The University girls are trying to arrange schedules so that they can
help out during the day in case of sickness all the programs would be
covered.
We have just enjoyed a delightful summer.
