HomeMy WebLinkAboutNovember 1971Columbia Heights Library Report November 1971 l~ ~ouse is gone from the. lot behind the library and from the parking lot and thinss are ~eginning to look like we might have more parking space. Even the Board members may find room to park. The library has been a busy place this month, over 12,OOO cir- culation in October. The natives are getting used to the carpeting and bean ~ag chairs and they are not such a novelty any more. The metal shed behind the library has practically been demolished by the neighborhood boys but maybe the garage across the alley would be available for our outdoor equipment. The snow blower needs conditioning for winter. The contract with Anoka County Library is ready for signing. Copies are available for the Boar8 members. Three of the staff members attended the book fair at the Univer- sity of Minnesota and heard Lorenz Graham explain his purpose in writing childrens' books. Mrs. Westerberg is doing volunteer work at the libr~y Fridays now that she has retired from school teaching. She's enjoying helping the children select books.
