Report
August 3, 1976
t.'e are trying to decide if the weather affects people's reading
habits. It doesn't adults- they are reading as enthusiastically as ever.
Hot~ever, the children must be spending more of the summer at the beach, or
at our movies. The books are not as enticing as our programs.
Monday there will be a pet show and we expect it to be a ho~.~ling
success. More entries than ever ! There will be ribbons for everything.
The pre-school craft and story time is over subscribed and we are
starting a waiting list.
Our activities for Junior High folks continue to be a disappointment.
This same age group, though, are diligent and faithful volunteers.
There is a possibility that the Recreation Department Theatre Group
may put their play on at the library.
The play "Free to Be You and ~l']e'' sponsored by the Human Rights
Commission was well attended.
Plans are going ahead for an open house in September. t~e v~ill be
recruiting the Friends of the Library for refreshments.
Linda Hanson, recreation Director. is willing to cooperate with the
library in making sports equipment available to patrons. ~(o specific
details have been vmrked out.
