Report June 8, 1976
The hot weather seems to have brought a greater in-
flux to the beaches than to the library. It also
brought continued problems with the air conditioning
on the old side of the library. The unit evidently
isn't big enough for the space it is supposed to cool.
probably some thought should be given to replacing it
with a more economical operation and some allowance
should be made in next year's budget.
The summer reading program is well under way and
next week the special programs begin. We are thankful
for the Newsletter's publishing our schedules. We
have much better participation with house to house
publicity.
We also took our Town Crier to all the schools and
talked about the summer activities.
Joe Studenberg (former President of the Library Board
of ~ ~+~ ~ ;'i library ~his week and says , ruo~es~ sited our -.
that he always compares our facilities favorably to
any other he sees. Some are too elaborate and not
functional and some are too drab and drearie. He
thought we had made especially good use of the
revenue sharing funds that we received.
Be sure and notice the Art Exhibit by the Library
Art Club. These are really talented people.
