Augustes circu.lation promises to be about the s~meo ~%~is averages out to over 700 books a day. Our summer reading club had 655 people registered. 55 of thes~ people have read at least 50 books and one primary child has ~.~ad 300 booI'-.s. The puppet club has ~5 x~egisteredo They have practically completed their puppets and are preparing the plays to perform for the story hour children. Mr. Je~ovitch ham consented to build the puppet stage and it should be ready for production before the end of September. The Stor,y Ho~ has 99 registrants. The story is held in two sessions, ~ednesday and Thursday mornings, Some of the parents have been known to arrange ~heir vacation days so that story hour is not missed. The attendance has increased along the way. 371 new borrowers have become acquainted with the library over the summer, Many are pleasantly surprised at the extent and beauty of the facilitiee. A good deal of credit chou!d be extended to the attractiv~ a~t collection of Mr. Kramer, Plans for the fall are underway. An adult a~rt ..lass has been organized and a teacher arranged for° Possibilities of s~o~y i~ou~s and chilSren's art class on Saturday mornings during the fall are being considered. Over fifty children have already registered for the pre-school story hours cn Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Programs are in preparation for the mothers also. Some projects for Senior Citizens are also being considered, These people use the lihraz-y to some extent but there is room for more book related activities° These people are very appreciative of any thought given them. Some of the s~aff are registering for extension classes at the University to better equip themselves for specialized help in the libra~yo This should be a very busy fall.
