It was close to the circulation for June. This was an increase of about 5100 over August a year ago. 381 children, ranging from 6 years old to 15 years old, took part in the su;T~.~r reading yrogram. 105 completed the re,ding of at least 15 books. The librarian took @ week's vacation starting August 28th. Things were very well taken care of ~uring that time. Mrs. Douglas put in extr3 hours during the period. Miss Fmw!~ins plans to have her vacation for two weeks beginning the 16th of September. Times have been set for the Librarian to speak to the faculties of the Junior and Senior High Schools in order to coordinate the Library facilities. .~proposed budget for the year of 1964 h~s been set up for the consideration of the Board. University classes begin September 25th. We are hoping for a very successful school year. It is expected that we will be enrolled in graduate school during the winter quarter. The pl~rm to have the parochial children have speci@l library periods seems to have gone slightly awry. Due to the fact that there would have to be special patrols crossing 40th Avenue the children will not be e~cused during school time. Instead different noon hours will be assigned to certain graces ~uring the week.
