There were 165 new subscribers during the same period in 1962. 506 additional books have been catalogued since January first. This brings the n~mber of our volumns to ne?rly 9500. Man)- more books have %een ordered and are expected this week. We are trying to build up the reference and non-fiction sections so as to be workable for stu- dents of all ages. The circulation for January 1962 was 3429. The circulation for January 1963 was 5074. The circulation for February 1962 was _3874. The circulation for Fe}r~az'y 1~63 was 5704. We are especially proud of February's record. Counting Saturdays ss ½ days this is an average of 283 per day. The adult circulation is our greatest concern. something that we would certainly like to raise. In January 1962 the adult circulation was 1502. In January 1963 it was 2015. This is In February it rose only 305 with a difference of only 4 days in the month. Study is being made to sti~late adult p~rticipation. Consideration is being ~iven to having more mature help in the library during the afternoon rash. The Open House was not an overwhelming success. it was a lovely party and people seemed to enjoy themselves. But Thank you all so much for your thoughtfulness and cooperation. Libra rian
