HomeMy WebLinkAboutJanuary 8, 1962?ne weather and the pre-holiday rush combined to give us a ve~ moor
showing circulation-wise for the month of December. For the first
time since the new library opene~, our circulation fell below three
thousand. 7re were very little below three thousand; but nevertheless,
we were under our usual excellent _~l~ure of at lesst four thousand.
School vacation was another factor ~.,?aich contributed to our ~oor
December record.
However, when one considers that for the two weeks after December
f~fteenth, our circulation fell to almost nothing, then our small
fid'ute for the entire month is not too hard to comprehend.
i,;e have added !_=6 books in the -gerlod from December ,_~teenoa to
the end of t._e month About two-t~.,zrds of those are cataloged and
ready to circulate. ~ais inczudes our set of
Catatog. ing and the press of other duties have prevented me from ~get-
ting out a detailed list of these books. That will be forth-coming
as soon as I can get to it.
We did very well in November--Our f~,~ures, o. were well. over the four-
thousand mark.
Detailed statistics for the two months follow:
