RESOLUTION ACCEPTING BID AND AWARDING CONTRACT FOR
SULLIVAN LAKE PARK SANITARY LIFT STATION IMPROVEMENTS
CITY PROJECT #1997-22
TO PENN CONTRACTING
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for City Project #1997-22, Sullivan Lake
Park Sanitary Lift Station Improvements, six bids were received, opened and tabulated
according to law. The following bidders complied with the advertisement.

WHEREAS, it appears that Penn Contracting of 13025 Central Avenue, Blaine, Minnesota is the
lowest responsible bidder.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLUMBIA
HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA
The Mayor and Clerk are hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract with
Penn Contracting in the name of the City of Columbia Heights for Sullivan Lake Park
Sanitary Lift Station Improvements, City Project No. 1997-22, according to plans and
specifications therefore approved by the Council.
The City Engineer is hereby authorized and directed to return, forthwith, to all bidders, the
deposits made with their bids except the cleposit of the successful bidder and the next
lowest bidder shall be retained until the contract has been signed.
