COLUMBIA HEIGHTS CITY CODE OF 1977, REPEALING
ORDINANCE NO. 854 and REPEALING OKDINANCE NO.
863 (REVISOR'S ACT)
The City Council of the City of Columbia Heights does ordain:
Section 1: Title Revision
A. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 853, which reads as follows, to-wit:~
"This ordinance shall be known, cited and referred to as the
'Colu~bi8 Heights City Code of 1976' except as referred to
herein, where it shall be known as 'this Code' or 'this ordi-
nance'.''
is amended to read as follows, to-wit:
"This ordinance shall be known, cited and referred to as the
'Columbia Heights City Code of 1977' except as referred to
herein, where it shall be known as 'this Code' or 'this ordi-
nance'."
B. Section 2 of Ordinance Nc. 853, which reads as follows, to-wit:
"The Columbia Heights City Code of 1976, adopted on the date
indicated herein, shall be printed in a substantial quantity
for distribution to the public and shall be available a~ the
office of the Columbia Heights City Clerk."

indicated herein, shall be printed in a substantial ~umn~it~
for distribution to the public and shall be available at the

C. Section 3 of Ordinance No. 853, which reads as follows, to-wit:

of the City of Columbia Heights, whether or not those ordinances
have been previously published, and specifically repeals those
ordinances in conflict therewith."

Incorporating Park Restrictions of Ordinance 854
A. Section 10.201 (16) of the City Code shall be hereafter renumbered
as Section 10.201 (17).
B. Section 10.201 (16) of the City Code shall hereafter be as follows:
No person shall have in his possession or consume any intoxicating
liquor or non-intoxicating malt liquor in or upon any City park,
parkway, or bathing beach within the City of Columbia Heights.
(a) Provided,'however, the City Council may by affirmative
vote grant permission to neighborhood groups and public
service organizations to possess and consume non-intoxi-
cating malt liquor in City parks, except before 8:00 a.m.
and after 9:30 p.m. No such permission may be granted for
'' such possession or consumption in or upon any public bathing
beach or anywhere in Silver Lake Beach Park.
(b) The prohibitions of this Section 10.201 (16) shall not apply
to Huset Park or the Columbia Heights Field House.

Ordinance No. 854, published as Ordinance No. 854, BEING AN ORDINANCE
PROHIBITING THE POSSESSION AND CONSUMPTION OF NON-INTOXICATINGMALT
LIQUOR AND INTOXICATING LIQUOR IN CITY PARKS, passed Jam~ary 10,
1977, is herewith repealed in its entirety.
Repeal of Ordinance No. 863
'Ordinance No. 863, BEING AN ORDINANCE REGULATING AND LICENSING THE
REMOVAL AND TREATMENT OF TREES AND PROVIDING PENALTY FOR VIOLATION
THEREOF, passed b~rch 29, 1977, is herewith repealed in its entirety.

This Ordinance shall be in foll force and effect from and after
thirty (30) days after its passage.
