Roll Call - All Ayes. Notion by Lange seconded by Spekulant that ~here sewer and water connections are allowed, other than on lots where regular assessments have been made, that a connection fee equal to the amount of the average assessment on the line to be used be paid, but at not less than a 40 foot lot, said fee to apply against the regular assessment at such time as sewer and/or water rosins are laid on the property in question. Motion by Lange seconded by Yencho that a street improvement program be approved whereby road 8iling is placed on an annual assessable basis, with the property o~ners given an opportunity to pay by being billed directly prior to the levying 'of the assessment. Motion by Lange seconded by Spekulant, that the City Manager contact the Northern States Power Co. regarding a light on 41st and Cleveland St. N.E. Roll Call - All Aye s. Motion by Spekulant seconde~d by Trench to grant pe?mission to Mrs. W.C. Duncan, 4234 Tyler St. N.E. to live in a trailer for 60 days. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Motion by Lange seconded by Spekulant, to grant an Off-Sale Beer License to Harry Sttgsell, on condition that he builds a building 20x40 at 4029 Central. Roll Call -All Ayes. A Petition was received for sewer on Cleveland St. N.E.. Motion b y Lange seconded by Trench to turn this petition over to the City Manager to get an estimate of the cost. Roll Call - All Ayes. A request w~s received from Russell A. Gilbert, 1209 - 45th Ave. N.E. to connect to our water main. Motion by Spekulant seconded by Trench, that this be referred to the City Manager requesting that he contact this man and give him the cozt. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. A Petition was brought in by John Nordin for a Sewer main on 38th Avenue west of University signed by the majority of property owners. Motion by Yencho 'seco~ded~ by Trench, that the City Manager contact Mr. Stewart Rothman and arrange a meeting with him regarding a Housing Survey. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Mr. E.A. Anderg~rg, 3709 Polk St. N.E. was in requesting to build a retaining wall and he was referred to the City Engineer. A letter was received from the Commercial Club requesting the following: 1. Have an Officer on Foot Patrol Central Avenue from Gould to 41st on Fridays and Saturdays from 3 P.M. to 6 P.M. 2. To do something to eliminate Central Avenue from being littered with paper and debris. 3. To sprinkle ~entral Avenue at least twice a week to eliminate some of the Dust that blows around so terrifically. Motio$ by Lange seconded by Yencho to refer part three to onr City Engineer. Motion by Lange seconded by Trench, to have a Policeman on Foot Patroli during the time asked a~d to give this a fair trial and Police Chief report back on the working ability of this plan. Motion ~by Trench seconded by Spekulant, that the Mayor write a letter to the Jamboree Committee, also the Fireman's Festival Committee advising them that they are to furnish one Patrolman for protection on the grounds, expenses to be paid by them at the regular rate of pay.
