Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and 'approved.

Councilman Holm requested to kr. ow, who had~authority to call off a Council meeting.
The City Attorney sta~ed the Chsmter provided for ~calling a meeting but notching
for cancelling a meeting.

Motion by Hosch seconded bylKnutson, that notice be given to H~!!top Village,
also Trailer City, that anj~water connections will be discontinued as of Hay l,
19~7, and that a copy of t~s notice be sent to the Department of Health, State

Bids on a new Police car weve received from ~inar ~.~otor Co. and Downtowm Chev. Co.
Notion by Holm seconded by Julkowski, that these bids be turned over to the City
Nanager and taken up with the Police Chief for his recommendations, and a report
brought back to the next meeting. Roll Call - All AyeS.
Petitions were received for.Sewer and Water for 7th Street, 5Oth to ~lst, also
Washington Street, ~Oth to 51st, but they did not contain sufficient signers.
A request was received for a public water line for Lot 8,~ Block 17, Walton's
Sunny Acres, 3rd, and the Engineer was asked to bring back a report.
A Letter was received from the Activities Commit+~M, asking permission to hold the
Jamboree next year on June~ 2~ 22~ and 23,t957,
Notion by Hosch seconded by Holm, granting this request upon a~proval o£ the Park
Board. Roll Call -All Ayes.
A letter was received from the Twin City Rapid Transit Co., also a map
showing %he proposed new bus route in Columbia Heights. This .matter was
~s~sged and the City }.{anager was asked to set up a meeting with them.

preservation of trees in the Parkways and Streets of the City of Columbia HeiSts.

Second reading of Ordinance No.373, Amending Ordinance No.16 and Ordinance
No.16 as amended, relating to the curfew signal, defining the hours it shall
be unlawful for any Juvenile to be on or present in any public street or alley
or any public place, and providing for the penalty for the violation thereof.

advertise for bids for a Dog Catcher for 1957. Roll Call -AllAyes.
Motion ~y Knutson seconded by JulkoWski, that a ~special meeting be held at
7:30 p.~. December 6th~ with ~r. Vevea, County Engineer ~and Mr. A1 Kordiak,
County 0on~nission~r. The matter of a ~uni~ipal bui!din~ site, also
the bil~ from Lei~enberg & Kapl ~an tJ be discussed at this meeting.
The City Engineer reported a request had been received~ to open an alley between
6th and 7th Street, from 52nd to 53rd Avenue.
Motion by Julkowski seconded by Hosch, that this alley be opened. Roll Call -
All Ayes.
The Storm Sewer construction in' back of the Heights~ Theater was discussed and
it was decided to hold'up this work for the time being.
'The City Engineer reported on the proposed storm drain for the area between
Polk and Tyler Street.
Resolution offered by Holm Seconded by Knutson, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that the
City Council of %he City of Columbia Heights, deems it necessary to take for
Dublic use, the following described parcels of Land~
