City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the salary for an assistant

street light at 43rd and Tyler, as per request. Roll Csll -ill Ayes.
Motion by Hosch seconded by Knutson~ that the request of Mrs G~ren E. Neum~un~
~J.~ Jefferson St. N.E. to park her panel truck on University Avenue for the
purpose of selling Ice Cream in p~uts and half gallons, be denied. Roll C~_t_ -

Resolution offered by Hosch seconded by Holm, BE IT ~Y RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the City Manager be instrcted to
insert in all future private water line permits~ that the parties obtaining such
permit agree that at such time as a water line is installed in street, that
private water lines will be disconnected; and further that when a Petition is
presented for a water line in their btock~ that their ~0t · . s~hotuld be construed

A request was received for re-zoning for Commercial purposes p~operty at h~39 -
3rd St. Motion by Holm seconded by Julkowski, that this ~matter be turned
over to the Planning and Zoning Co.muission. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Appointments to various ~Boards was tabled until June 26th.
Motion by Ju~kowski seconded by Knutson, that the b'~l of Lehn Electric Co. be
paid out of the proper funds~ amounting to 01,~98.00. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Holm seconded by Hosch, PREambLE - %~REAS, an emergency
exists for the preservation of Public peace~ safety and convenience, in that
the water supply of the City of Columbia Heights is endangered by reason of
taxing the present~ pumps;
iT IS T?~REFORE RESOLVED by the City Council of the 6ity of Columbia Heights~
that a public emergency exists and it is essential to forthwith purchase
a Fairbanks-Morse Pump for the .wanmicipal water ~stem; and that same be
installed at the earliest possible date, and that electrical, plumbing
and installation be ordered forthwith. Roll Call - ~_l Ayes.
The matter of the application of Taft Marine to acquire part of Outlot "A"
~dfl_l be taken up at the meeting of June 26th.

did on the llth day of June 19~6 conduct and hold a Special Municipal Election; and

of said council held on the 12th day of June. 19~6, did canvass the retm~as
and results of said Special Municipal Election; and
