Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved with the exception of the recommendations ~ for appointments to the Merit System should have been Floyd Moore recommended by Clifford Knutson and Martin Rozmark recommended by Lawrence Hosch. A Petttien was received to lower the alley between~Washington and Jefferson from 42nd to 43rd. ~ Motion by Deeble seconded by Knutson, that the City Manager be anthorized to advertise for a Hearing to be held July 13th, for t~e low~ of this alley. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. k letter ',~s received from the Village of St.Louis Park inviting the Columbia Heights Council and any other interested parties for an inspection of their new Incinerator on June 24th. Motien by Deeble seconded by Holm, that this letter which was received on June 18th, be placed on file. Roll Call - All Ayes. A notice was received from the Railroad and Warehouse Commission that bus service will start on July 6th for a six month trial, from 3?th and Centrsl to the Hilltpp Addition. Motion by Hosch seconded by Knutson, that the State of Minnesota, Department of Highways be paid the sum of $6,946.~6 as o~r share for re-surfacing Central Avenue from 37th .to 4Oth. Roll Call - Ali Ayes. Mot~ion by Deeble seconded by. Hosch, that the matter of the Law Suit of Antonette Buc~holtz vs the City of Columbia Heights and New Brighton, be turned over to the City Manager.. Roll Call - All Ayes. ResOlution offered by HoLm seconded by Hosch, The £ity Council of .the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that, WHEREAS, Special Assessments for Lot Thirteen (13) Block Twenty-nine (29) Columbia Heights Annex on Job No.200 in the. amoun~t of. $61.08 have been paid in full; BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the County Auditor be and he is hereby authorized ~ and directed to strike.from the assessment rolls the aforesaid assessments.
