Motion by Hosch seconded by Deeble, that a Hearing be set f~ Tuesday August 10th,
for Black Topping and Curb on 42nd Avenue from Jackson to Central. RoLl Call -
Ail Ayes.
Motion by Holm Seconded by Hosch, that the following bills be paid out of their

Motion by Deeble seconded by Enutson, that the bid on the traffic signal repair
be rejected. Roll Call - All Ayes.
The grade of A$1ey in Block 3i was /~iscussed and this matter was turned over to
the City Engineer to work m~k this matter out to the best satisfaction of all
concer~ed.

Second Reading of Ordinance No.323, Being an Ordinance amending Ordinance No.171,
being an Ordinance for the purpose of promoting health, safety, order, convenience and gener
general welfare, by regulating the use of land~ the location and the use of buildings
a~d the arrangement of buit~ing lots, and ~he density of population in the City of
0o!umbia Heights. Lot 70 and the west fifteen feet of lot 69, Blk 65
Columbia Heights Annex to Columbia .Heights.

A Petition was received for opening of Alley in ~tock 12 Columbia Heights Annex,
between Monroe and Quincy, 44th to 45th.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Enutson, setting August lOth for a Hearing on the
opening of this alley. Roll Call - ALI Ayes.
A Petition was received for an extension of Sewer on 4th Street between 48th and
49th.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Hosch, that a Hearing bet set for August 10th on this
sewer extension. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
Petitions were received for water on ~incey between 44th and 45th and 6th Street
between 51st and 53rd.
Motion by Hosch Seconded by Holm, that a Mearing be set for August lOth on these
petitions. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
The request for water on Monroe Street 44th to 45th was tabled.
A request was received from John Seman for a private water main at 4401 Monroe
Street.
Motion by Holm seconded by Deeble, that this request be granted. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
Motion by Holm seconded by Hosch, that Art Botier be paid t~he sum of $11, O02.94
for Curb and Gutter. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
Motion by Enutson seconded by Deeble, authorizing payment of bills in the amount of
$391.71, in connection wE,~ the case of Dawson vs City of Columbia Heights. Roll
Call - Ail Ayes.

Ordinance No.324, An Ordinance authorizing the sale by the City of
of certain Real Estate known as - Lots Sight (8) and Nine (9),
2nd Subdivision of .Block F.
First reading of Ordinance No.325, An Ordinance ~thori~ing the sale by the City of
Columbia Heights of certain Real Estate known as - Lot ~ight (8), Block 1, 2nd
subdivision of Block F.
A letter wa~ received from Mr. Ondick, Business representative Local No.664
requesting an increase in wages for City Employes. Mr. Ondlck was also present.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Knutson, Shat a special meeting be set with Mr. Ondick
for 7 P,M. on Tuesday August 10th. Roll Gall - Ail Ayes.
Councilman Holm bro~ht up the matter of a nuie~uce at the Shell Oil, Station at
37th and Central in the early morning hours and the lack of co-operation of the station
attendant.
ReSOlution offered by Hosch seconded by Deeble, The City Council of the City of
Columbi~ Heights hereby resolves that,
~EEAS Special Assessments for So. 50 f~. of ~ot 6, Block 3, Rearmagement of Block
"b", Co!.Heights Annex, on Job No.200 in the amo~mt of $76.35 have been paid in full;
BE IT TH~EE RESOLVED that the County Auditor be and he is hereby anth~rized and
directed to strike from the assessment rolls the aforesaid assessments. Roll Call -

a letter to the people involved. Ro!
