Meeting called to order at 8 P,M.
Deeble and Knutson absent.
Roll Call - Holm, Ho$ch, Stopka present.
The Mayer announced we would dispense ~h reading the minutes of the last
meeting as this meeting will be postponed until Thursday, July 15th, as two
council members were absent and Mr. Holm was not fee~ug well.
Motion by Hosch seconded by Holm, that the following bills be paid out of t~ir
proper funds: Roll Call - Ail Ayes.

Recessed Meeting
July 15, 1954
Meeting called to order at 8 P.M.
Deeble and Knutson absent.
Roll Call - Holm, Hosch, Stbpka present.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and mpproved'.
A Hearing was held for cgrb on 6th Street frcm 47t~ to 49th, 48th Avenue from
4$h to 6th Street and %0th Avenue from 5th to 6th Street.
Motion by Holm seconded by Hosch, that the City Manager be authorized to ~ro~eed'
with the work on the three preceding areas described above. Roll Cal 1 - Ail Ayes .
Thee matter of lowmng the' alley between Washington and Jefferson from 42nd to 43rd
was discussed.
Motion by Holm seconded by Hosch, that the project of low~r~n_ ~ ~ alley in Block 31,
Columbia Heights Annex be tabled until the next meeting to give the Council an
opportunity to study the situation. Roll Call - Ali Ayes.
A letter was received from Grover Smith, 4341 Quincy St. a~king for $25.00 d~mages
to garde~n by installation of Storm Sewer.
Motion by Hosch seconded b~-Holm, that this matter be turned over to +.~_e City
