on the table. Roll Call -All Ayes.
A meeting was set for 6 P.~. on June 3rd, for a demonstration ~nd inspection of
Street Sweepers.
Hotion by Deeble seconded by Holm, that the bid of the Cyclone Fence Co. for

City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the abo~e listed improvements
are accepted as part of the Public Works Program for 1954, and the City Manager
is here~? instructed to proceed with same. Roll Call -'All Ayes.
The City Attorney ~as requested to draw up a Resolutioh pertaining to the
licens~hg of dumping into our sewer.
A letter was received from the Columbia Heights Activities ComMittee' asking
permission to conduct a parade on June 18th.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Holm, granting this request subject to the
approval of the Police Department. Roll Call - All A~s.
A letter ~as received from H.C. Nelspn~ Supt. of C.M. Schools, asking for
the installation of~ sidewalk~a~°5~°A~e~twee~ ~$h ~ud~ 6th, and 5th
Street between 5~AS~ and 52m~, one side only ~u~w~t~i~.
Motion by Knutson seconded by Holm, authorizing this work to be done.

A letter was received from W.E. Cottrel!, Police Chief, asking for expenses
for himself to attend the convention of the League of Minnesota Municipalities
at Moorhead, also expenses for a delegate and alternate to attend the Minnesota
Police & Peace Officers Convention to be held June 21st and 22nd at Winona, Minn.
Motion ~y Deeble seconded by Holm, authorizing ~ expenses for those
attenditg the Convention of the League of ~innesota Municipalities, June~lO,11
and 12th, also the Police and Pe~ce Officers Convention at Winona on June 21 ~d

A Petition was received for Curb & Gutter on 41st Avenue~ from Quincy to 4th
Street N.E.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Knutson, that the City Manager be authorized to
advertise for a public Hearing on this improvement. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.,
Motion by Hosch seconded by Knutson, that Theo. Stanowski, 4325 Univ. Ave.~
be granted permission to install a private water line upon payment of the proper fee.

Resolution offered by Deeble seconded by Knutson.,The City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights hereby resolves that, 7~TEREAS, Special Assessments for Lot ten (10) Block
Seven (7) .Wil~top Addition on Job No,234 in the smount of $85.00 have been paid in
f~]~; HE iT ~.~_JEREFOHE RESOLVED that the County Auditor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to strike from the assessment rolls the aforesaid assessments.

Heights here~y resolves that, WHEREAS, Sp~ cial Assessments for Lots Ten (10) and
Eleven (ll) Block Seven (7), Hilltop II, on Job No.223 and~ 241 in the smounts of
$812.60 and $244.40 have been paid in full;
BE IT TP~L~EFORE EESOLVED that the County Auditor be ~ud he is hereby authorized
and directed to strike from the assessment rolls the aforesaid assessments.

John ~gurzyn was present and presented plans for a garage that is needed by the
Park Board.
Motion by Holm seconded by Deeble, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for b~
bids for a garage for the Park Board. Roll Call - All Ayes.
A request was received from Joe 0cel,3908 University to comnect to our sewer.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Hob, granting this request upon payment of the
proper fee. Roll Call - All Ayes.
