Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Motion by Deeble seconded by Holm, that the following bills be paid out of their. proper funds: Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Deeble seconded by Knutson, that this latter dated February 19th be ~ turned over to the Police Chief for a report. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Hosch seconded by Knutson, that the letter received from the Police Civil Service Commission dated February 16th, regarding the Eligible Register for Patrolmen be placed on fi!e. Roll Call - All Ayes. Notioh by Deebte seconded by Holm, that the letter received from the Police Civil Service Commission dated February 16th, regarding expenses of the examinations of ~ applicants for patrolmen, be placed on file. Roll Call - All A~ve Motion by Deeble seconded by Hosch, that Mrs. Tema, June Cherne, Mrs. Robert Clark and Mrs, rCecelia Keyes,be ~ppointed to the Library Board, terms to expire July 195~.~ Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Deeble seconded by Knutson, that the jack ~lch Construction Co. be paid the sum of $740.80. Roll Call - All Ayes. Resolution offered by Holm zeconded by Hosch, BE IT HEREBY EESOLVED by the City Council of th of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer from the Liquor Fund as follows: $670.68 to the Fire Fund and that there are sufficient moneys in s~d Liquor~F~ud to make such transfer. Roll Call - Ail Ayes. Mrs. Anthony Yurkew presented the Council with Petitions for an additional Patrolman, s~igned by 1682 people. Notion by Holm ~conded by Deeble, that these Petitions be turned over to the City M~auager for ve~rification of the s.ignatures. R?ll Call - All Ayes. Mayor ~topka relinquished the chair and made the foll$wing Resolution: Resolution offered by Stopka, that $4,000.00 be trans,,red from the Administration Fund to the Police Fund~ and that the Police Civil Se4gice Commission be authorized to hire an additional patrolman. This Resolution ~ost for the lack of a second. Motiom by Holm seconded by De~ble tha~ the meeting adjourn at 9:30 P.M.
