Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved with the following

Motion by Deeble seconded by Sp~kulant, that Jack E. Welch Construction Co. be
awarded the bid for ware? an.d sewer on 5th Street and 39th ~venue. Roll Call -
All Ayes.
Motion by Holm seconded by Lange, that the request of Cargill inc., for a bridge
over 37th Avenue be granted. Roll Call - ~11.. Ayes.
A Hearing was held regarding the op~ning of an a~ey in Block 71, or Edgemore Street.
A Petition was received opposing this action and several signers were present and
expressed their views.
Motion by L~uge seconded by Holm, denying the request of Walter J. Grineski, 3909 -
2nd St.. N.E. for an alley in Block 71 or the opening of Edgemore Street. Roll

Motion by Holm seconded by Lange, that Mrs Milton Perry be appointed to the
Recreation Committee. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Lange seconded by Spekulaut, The City Council of the City of
Columbia Heights hereby resolves that, WH~, Special Assessments for all of the
East ½ of Lot 12, lying No. of the So. 57.34 Ft., Blk 4, Rearrgt. of Blk.~A" Cci. Heights
Annex on Jobs No.189 and 200 in the amounts~of $19.40 and $103.82 have been paid in
full; BE IT T~OHE RESOLVED that the County Auditor be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to strike from the assessment rolls the aforesaid assessments.

by the Mtnicipal Liquor Store is inadequate~ for current needs, THEREFORE'BE IT RESOLVED
that the~City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer the sum of $1,000.00
