The City Manager ~as instructed to contact the Village Clerk of Fridley regarding
a ~oint meeting of the two councils in regar~ to the ~ater Contract between Col~mbia
Heights and ~he Vi~lage of~ F~_dley. ~
The C,tty Manager was instructed to. check on ~he license fees charged for Juke Boxes
and Theatres in neighboring communities. ~
Motion by Deeble, seconded by Hosch to p~y the ~Lunesota Department of Hi§~wa~
the $3,655.79 balance due on repaying Highway #65. Roll call, all ayes.
A letter was read from the Columbia Heights Fire Department requesting certain
increases. Motion bj~ Holm, seconded by Enutson, to olac~ this letter on file.

Niles, Secretary of the Recreation Department of South St. Paul. Roll call, all ayes.
A statement has been received from the Public Employees Retirement Association for
$2,107.83 due them. The City Nanager was instructed to obtain a more detailed
s t ateme nt.
Resolution offered by Hosch, seconded by Knutson, The City Council of the City
of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that, ~EREAS, Special Assessments for the
East ~0 feet of Lot 32, Block 2~. Reservoir Hills Addition ou Job No. 2~3 in the
amount of $50 have been pa. id in full;

A 'petition was :received f~om the residents of Jefferson and Nadis~n streets, between
43 & Ii4 for a solution to the storm water probl~em, in that area.
Notion by Holm, seconded by Hosch that the matter of a storm drain in that area
be referred to 'the City Manager and the City Engineer for further study, and the
City Manager be instructed to take steps to obtain the necess ~ary easements.

for bids for a front end loader. Roll call,~ all~ ayes.
