the original $12.50 increase, should also be granted the additional $13.50 per

Resolution offered by Deeble seconded by Holm, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City
Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that City ~mployes be given ten (10) days
sick leave per year, accumulative to Fifty (50) days. Roll Call - All Ayes.

Eanager for tabulation. Roll Call - All Ayes.
A Hearing was held on the Water Tower. A large group of residents' were present
and a lengthy ~iscussion took place.
Resolution offered by Holm_ seconded by Deeble, A resolution adopting as'sessment rolls for
for the following local improvements and determining that said improvements be made
and ratifying and confirming all other proceedings heretofore had:
"Local Improvement #232, being an assessment for the proportionate cost
of Water T~wer located in Hilltop $6j~' for~M~lltop 1,2 and 3.
W~-REAS, the City Council of Columbia Heights, Ni~mesota, met on the 25th day of
August, 1953, at the City Office in said City, being the time and place set when and ~h
vhere all persons interested could appear and be heard by the Council ~ith respect
to benefits, and to the proportion of the cost of making the local improvements
above described, a notice of such hearing having been heretofore duly published as
required by laws; and,
~EREAS, this Council has heretofore estimated and fixed the cost of s~ch local
improvements and has prepared au assessment roll therefore.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLU~B/A ~EIGHTS B~P~BY RESOLVED:
Section I. That this Council does hereby adopt the aforesaid assessment rolls
known and described as "Assessment Rolls for Local Improvement No.23k.
Section II. ~ That this Council hereby finds and determines that each of the
lots and parcels of land enumerated in said assessment rolls was and is escpecially
benefitted by such ~improvement in au amount not le~ss thau the amount set apposite
the description of each such lot or parcel of land respectively in said assessment
rolls in the column headed"Amount of Proposed Assessnent." And this Council further
finds and determines that the proper proportion of the cost of such ~_mprovement to
be especially assessed against such lot or parcel of land is the amount set opposite
the description of each such lot or parcel ~of la~d respectively in said assessment
rolls in said column headed "Amount of Proposed Assessment."
Section III. That said assessment .rolls be and the sa~me are hereby adopted
as the assessment rolls the following local improv~nents hereinbefore described,
and that said assess~ ht rolls shall be hereafter know~ and designated as "Assessment Ro
Rolls for ~Local Improvement No.23~. ~
Section IV. That said assessments shall be payabie in annual installme.nts
for a period of i to l0 years on or before the 31st day of December in each of
the years ~from 19~ to 196~, with interest and penalties as provided by law.
Section V. That this Council does hereby determine and re-determine to
proceed with said improvements, does ratify and confirm all other proceedings
heretofore had in that regard, and said improvement sha~ll hereafter be known
and n~~bered as ,'Local Improvements No.23~.
Section VI. This resolution shall take effect ~ediately upon its passage.
