Mr. Ondick, representative of LOcal 664 was present and discussed with the Council the wage question. Resolution offered by Deeble~ seconded by Knutson, ~E IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council~ of the City of Columbia Heights that, the ~nployes represented by Local 664 664 be granted a $13.50 per month increase from Au6ust tst through December 31st,!953. Roll Call - Hosch, Deeble, Knutson, Stopka - Yes. Holm - No. Motion by Deeb!e seconded by HoLm, that a Special Neeting be set f~r August 13th, at 7:30, to consider the labor question. Roll Call - All Ayes. The Mayor ~unounced a 10 minute recess at th~s time. The council convened again and took up the matter of problems in the' Hilltop area, mainl~ the water tower, and a large group of Hilltop residents were present. Motion by Deeble secondedbyHosch, that a Public Hearing be set for August 25th, regarding the sur-charge for the water Tower. Roll Call -AllAyes.
