Holm, BE IT ~ RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed ~o transfer from the Liquor Fund as follows: ~3,750.00 to the Street Equipment Fund and that there are ~fficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer. .Roll C~ll - All Ayes. Motion by Deeble seconded by Holm, that the bid-of the Frawley Equipment. Co~ for a 1949 Gunnison Distributor at $~,750.00 be accepted. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble, ths~t the bids on A~phalt be rejected. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble, that the City Manager be authorized to re- advertise for bids on Asphalt, 60,000 gallons more or less. Roll Csll - All Ayes~ Motion by Spekalant seconded by Lange, that the letter from the City Engineer dated April 14th, be placed on file and that a duplicate copy be sent to the Cargill Co. Motion by Holm seconded by DeeSle, that the City Manager be authorized to.advertise a Hearing on Assessments for the street improvements on Central Avenue between LOth and 45th, and also for the area benefitted by the Storm Drain,-namely 41,42,43,44 and 45th Avenues, and that the Hearing be set for April 28th. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Deeble seconded by Spekulant, that a Special Meeti~ to consider Petitions on file, be set for Tumsday, April 21st at 7:30 P.M. Roll Gall - All Ayes. The following Petitions for improvements were received: Resurfacio~ of 44th Avenua from Central to McLeod Concrete paving of alley in Block 53 Concrete paving of a~!ey in Block 42 Motion by Holm seconded by Deeble, that these petitions be considered at the Special meeting of April 21st. Roll Call - All Ayes. A tet%er was received from Erling T. Dr~ugeid~ Liquor Store Manager asking for a salar~ increase. Motion hy Deeble seconded by Spekulant to table the request of the Diquor-Store ~anager until the meeti~ ~of April 28th. Ro!l C~!~ - All Ayes. A request was received from M~. & Mrs. Donald S. Welch, t~ extend a private water ~ain £rom 45th Ave.!~.E. and Heights Drive to the residence located at 2332 - 45th Aven~e N.E. Motion by Holm seconded by Lange: that this request be granted upon payment of the proper fee. Roll Call - .%ll Ayes. A letter was received from the Fire Chief stating the Annual State Fire School w~]l be hel~ April 2?th to May lst,l~3 at the Nhi~er~i~y~of Minnesota F~u-m School, and aski~qE tha$ expenses be paid for three men to attend.
