Motion by Spekulant seconded by Lange, setting September 9th for a Public Hearing
on Curb & Gutter on Tyler Street between 39th and 40th Avenue. Roll Call - ~11 ~yes.
Motion by Holm seconded by Lange, that the matter of the Petition for paving
~11~ey between Jefferson and Madison ~=~m~4Gth and 41st Avenue be brought back
on the table. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Lange seconded by Holm, authorizing the City Manager to advertise for
bids on pavi~ng of aI41ey between Jefferson and M~dison from 40th to 41st Avenue.

Motion by Deeble seconded by Spekulant, setting a Hearing for September 9th on
paving of alley between Jefferson and ~&~iison from 40th to 41st~ Avenue. Ro~l

A letter was received from the Park ~oard requesting a meeting with the Council.
Motion by Holm seconded by Lange, that~ the letter received from the Park Board
dated August 18th be tabled. Roll C~11 - All Ayes.
A lette~ was received from Peter Heryla stating he had purchased a lot on LOth and
6th Street for the purpose of erecting a Root Beer Stand and ~ished to break up
the curb and install drive-ways.
Motion by Lange seconded by Holm, that this letter dated August 20th be turned
over to the Police Deoartmeut for their recommendation and a report brought back
to the next meeting. Roll C~]i - All Ayes.
Motion by Lange seconded by Holms that the letter received from the Fire Department
dated August 14th, regarding additional f~]t time Firemen, be tabled. Roll Call -

A letter of resignation was received from Gerald A. Rose as Heating Inspector.
Motion by Deeble seconded by Holm~ to pay the Richard Ferrin Co. the mum of

Resolution offered by Lange seconded by Sp~kulaut, BE IT ~Y RESOLVED by the
City Council of the City of Columbia H~ights that the City Treasurer be and she
is hereby idstructed to transfer from the Liquor Fund as Follows:
$1,989.69 to the Police & Court Fund
77.61 to the Fire "
4,125.35 to the Street
2,118.57 to the Park
164.42 to the Library
and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfers.

A letter was received from Dr. W.L. Herbert, 726 - 40th Ave. N.E. asking permission
to break the curb in front of his place to install a Drive-way.
