Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble to accept the bid of the Gopher Equipment Co. on the Street Roller, gas powered ~t $5,195.00. Roll Call~- ~_!! Resolution offered by Deeble seconded by Holm, ~ER.I~,/L% many plumbers have been grossly negligent in properly filling, and kee~ing f~]]ed, the openLugs dug for sewer and water house corauections,- frequently necessitating extra ~ork for the City, A~YD ~£~F~AS, the city ordinance requires plumbers to f~]] A~D ~AINTAIN such openings without any notice by the city; NOW T?~_2~EFORE HE IT RESOLVE~ by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that effective l0 days from date hereof, a penalty of $10.00 minimum will be charged to each plumber in each case where it is necessary to send out a city crew to repair s~ch openings if such repairs are not made within 24 hours of notice to the plumber to have repairs made; ~E iT ~0-RTH-ER RESOLVED, that whe're it is necesaa~- to repeat such warniugs, a ser~_ce charge of $2.00 for each such warning shall be charged, after the third warnLng. BE IT FL~THER RESOLVED, that, ~l~m~e~e-a~e-_=e~we~-~-~a~ the license of the plumber involved will be suspended after l0 days from date of billing such charges until paid.
