All members present. Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. Motion b~ Spekulant seconded by Lance to table the discussion with ~r. Liebenberg as he was not present. Second reading of Ordinance No.297, Being an Ordinance amendi~ Ordinance No.171, being an ordinance for the purpose of promoting health, safety, order, convenience amd general welfare, by regulating the use of l~aud, the location and the use of buildings, and the arrangement of building lots, and the density of population .in the city of Columbia Heights. Ordinance No.297 offered by Holm seconded by Lange. Roll Call - ~_]! Ayes. Resoiution offered by Spekulant seconded by Deeble, BEFIT P~EEBY RE~DLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby instructed to transfer from the Liquor F~_ud as ~ollows: Two Hundred sixty-five Dollars to the Administration Fund Two Thousang Dollars to the Police & Court Fund Three Thousand Dollars to the Street Fund Five Hundred Dollars to the L~brary Fund. and that there are sufficient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfers. Motion by Lange seconded by Spekulant, that a Special Meeting be held by the City Council on March 6th at 7:30 P.M. in the Field House, for the purpose of discussing the Road Program aud appointing the Election Judges. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Lange seconded by Spekulant, that the City Nans~er be directed to announce a Public Hearing for the Water Main on Monroe Street betWeen 4~4th and 45th. Roll Call - All Ayes. Notion by Lange seconded by Holm, that Lametti & Lametti be paid the sum of $1733.38, covering Storm and Sanitary Sewer inA Hilltop #l. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Holm seconded by Lange, that the City Manager be authorized to advertise for bids on the water pipe installation, according to Prof. V~mses' Specifications. Roll call - All Ayes. Motion by Deeble seconded by Lange, that Liebenberg & Kaplan be paid the sum of $886.ll for plans and Blue Prints for the Liquor Store. Roll Call - All Ayes. First reading of Ordinance No.298, An Ordinance authorizing the sale by the City of Columbia Heights pf certain Real Estate known as - Block l, Lots 6 and 7, Second Subdivision of Block F, Columbia Heights Annex to Minneapolis. A Petition was received from Hilltop for Curb & Gutter and Black Topping. Motion by Spekulant seconded by Deeble, that this Petition be turned over to the City Manager for tabulation. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from Seymour Mandel, attorney for Chet Herringer, requesting payment in the sum of $1,420.24, covering labor, materials and the rental of equipment. Notion by Lange seconded by Spekulant, that the $85.00 per lot charge in Hilltop, be charged againsted these lots for a new Water~T~wer, and the Tower charge that is now being charged against these homms w~ be credited against the Assessment. The Chair desired that a Roll Call will not be made at this time. Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble, appealing the decision of the Chair not to have a Roll Call at this time. Stopka - No. Motion by Deeble seconded by H~lm, that the Assessor be ~uthorized to place on the Assessment Rolls, the sum of $609.45 per lot ~u HiLltop #2, for Sewer, Water and Grading.
