Ail members present. Minutes o'f the last meeting were read and approved. The Secretary ~esented an affidavit showing posting on the official bulletin Boards, in accordance w~th Section 19 of the City Charter of Pro~sed Ordinance Noe287 entitled, AN ORDINANCE PEOVIDING _FOR THE ISSUANCE OF BONDS S~UBJECT TO isfactory and ordered placed on file. The secretary further reported that the said ordinance had been filed in her office for a period of more than omo week prior to the time of this meeting. Upon motion ~ made, seconded and ca~r. led, said Ordnance was then placed upon its second reading and fully and distinctly read. Counc:hlman Spekula~t then moved theffina~ passage and adoption of said Ordinance v~zich mo~lon was seconded by Councilman Holm and upon voting being taken thereon the following Councilmen voted Aye~ Holm, Lam Deeble, Spekulant and Sto~ka, and t~e following councilm~ ~d no, None. Whereupon said ordinance was declared duly passed and adopted end was approved and signed by the Mayor which was attested by the secretary. Firs~ reading, of Ordiaemce No.288, An OrdinanCe amending an Ordinauce granting to Minneapolis Gas Light '~mnpany, its successors and assigns, th~ right to manufact- ure, import, transport, 'sell and distribute gas for Heating, illuminating and othe~ purposes in the City of Columbia Heights, and. to use the 'Streets, Avenues and ~lleys thereof for that purpose. A letter was received from the Fire 'Department regarding our contract with the City'of Minneapolis. Motion by Lang. secofided by Holm, that we discontinue our ~ontract with'Minneapolis Fire Department 'when the pre~ent 'c~e expires. Roil'Call - Ail Ayes.' A letter was received from the Suburban Building Department A~m~nistration regaling a Well OrdinAnce setting license fees. A Pe%~tion was received from o~ners of lots on Madison and Jefferson between 40th'a~l 41st requesting that .alley be graded and paved between Madison and Jefferson. Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble that this petition be turned over'to the Cit~ Manager to get the cost tabulation. Roi1. Call - Ail Ayes. Roll Call - Ail Ayes, Motion by Lange seconded by Deeble, to grant the Plumbing License to N~rdwall Plumbing Co., 1715 Chicago Ave. Roll. Call - Ayes -Lange, Deeble and Stopka. Na~es - Holm and Spekular$. A request was received ,frcm John A. Rollins, 3911 University Ave. to connect to the sanitary Sewer on Lookout Place and that he will obtain an easeman~. Motion by Holm seconded by Spekulant, that anyone in Columbia Heights making a sewer connectic~ where the sewer is not in front of their property, will pay the sum of $250.00 and that at such time as sewer is installed in front of his pl~perty, he vdll be given credit on his assessment, same shall-~over one building only, Roi1 Call - All Ayes. · Motion by Deeble seconded by Lang., that John A.
