Minutes of the last regular and special meetings were read and approved. ~ Motion by Lauge seconded by Holm, confirming the emergency Resolution adopted at the December 5th meeting. Roll Call - AIl Ayes. Bids were received from the following on Garbage collection: Jack W. Gallagher ~ Wrapped $490.00 pe~r month Unwrapped $450.00 per month Sumner T. Francis " 720.00 " " " 180.00 " For a 3 ~ear period starting June l, 1952. t~otion by Deeble seconded by Lange, to turn these bids over to the City ~an~ger for further study and tabulation. Roll Call - All A~es. Bids were received from the following on a Double Drum Hoist: No.1 Wm. H. Zeigler Co. No.2 Mluneapolis Equipment Co. No.3 Gopher Equipment and Supply Co. Motion by Lange seconded by Spekulant that these bids be turned o~er to the City Manager for tabulation and report back at the next meeting. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from the Columbia Heights Hunicipal Band Board committee asking that ~l,O00.O0.be transferred to them. l~otion by Spe~laut seconded by Holm that this letter b~ placed on file. Roll Call - All Ayes. A letter was received from A. Ho!!opeter resigning from the Fire Civil Service Commission as he is r~ing out of town to work. Notion by Lange seconded by Spekul~nt to accept this re~igna%ion. Roll Call~- All A letter was received from Eayor Stopka confirming announcement of.tvo soecial meetings, one to be held December 13, 1951 for a Hearing on all phases Hill±op Addition~and the other January 10, 1952 -,setting up administratiwe machinery for long range ~street improvement program. 3~otion by Lauge seconded by Spekulant, to place this letter on file. Jamboree Committee stating they would like to have the use of the Park for their celebration June 17th to 22nd. }~otion by Lange seconded by Holm, that this letter be turned over to the City EanaEer. A Petition was received from the residents on Summit Street to remove the bus ~oute from their street~ also grade and gravel same. ~otion by Deeble seconded by Spekulant, authorizing the City Manager to s~nnounce a Public Hearing for the vacating of an alley immediately south of t~he Cornelius Co. property described as Ibllows: Alley lying dm~ediately south of Outlet B and ex- tending between the ¥.~st line of Jefferson street ~nd a ~line parallel with and ~©5.~ ft. east of the east l~ue of Fifth Street N.~E.
