of the City of Columbia Heights that the pay schedule of the following city employee
shall become effective as of October 1st, 1.951:
Acting Engineer $1.75 per hour.

Meeting called to order at 7:30 P.M. Ail members present.

RESOLVES THAT ~,~EEEAS, the City Council has at various times met for the p~urpose
of d~scussing the budget for the year 1952, and ~EHEAS, The City Couq~cil has determined
that the following amount of the Budget be raised by taxation, NOW THEHEFORE BE IT
P~REBY RESOLVED that the County Auditor of Anoka County be and he is hereby instructed
and authorized to levy the following amounts for the year 1952 for various city funds
as follows:
Administration $19,O00.00
Police & Codrt 23,000.00
Fire ~ 12,000.00
Street Maintenance 33,000.00
Library 2,000.00
Park _ !0,000.00
Total $99,000.O0
BE IT FURT.UJKR RESOLVED .THAT the County Auditor be and he is hereby instructed to
levy a tax of one-tenth of one M~ll_ (.1)Of the assessed valuation of the City of

rolls for the following local improvements and determ~uging that said improvements be
made and ratifying and confirming all other proceedings heretofore had:

WP~EAS, the City Council of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, met on the 5th day of
November, 1951, at the City Office in said City, being the time and place set when
and where all persons interested could appear and be heard by the Council w~th respect
to benefits, and to the proporti~m of the cost of making the local improvements above
described, a notice of such hearing having been heretofore duly published as required
by laws; and,
~HEHEAS, this C~uncil has heretofore estimated and fixed the cost of such local improve-
ments and has prepared an assessment roll therefore.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS HEREBY HESOLVED:
Section I. That this Council do&s hereby adopt t~be aforesaid assessment rolls known
and described as "Assessment Rolls for Local Improvements No. 224,-226, ~227, 228, 229
and 231. ~ -/~Y ~
Section II. That this Council hereby finds and determines that each of the lots and
parcels of land enumerated in said assessment rolls was and is especially benefitted
by such improvement in an amount not less that the an cunt set opposite the description
of each such lot or parcel of land respectively in said assessment rolls in the column
headed "Amount of Proposed Assessment." And this Council further finds and deter-
m~nes that the proper proportion of the cost of such improvement to be especially
assessed against 'such lot or parcel of land is the amount set opposite the descrip-
tion of eaeh such lot ~or parcel of land respectfw~ly in said assesmment rolls in
said column headed "~mount of Proposed Assessment."
Section III. That said assessment rolls be and the same are hereby adopted as the
assessment rolls 'the .following local improvements hereinbefore described, and that
said assesament ~olls shall be hereafter known and designated as "Asses~uent Rolls
for Local ImPrOVements ~oj 224, 226, 227, 2~8, 229 and 231. ~ ~ ~
Section IV. That said assessments shall be ~ayable in annusl installments for a
p~riod of five to eight years on or before the 1st day of June ~in each of the years
from 1952 to 1959, with interest and penalties as provided by law.
Section V. That this Council dOes hereby determine and re-determine to proceed with said
improvements, ~does ratify'and confirm~all other proceedings heretofore had in that
regard, and said improvement shall hereafter be known and numbered as "Local
· Impr6vements No. 224, 226, 227, 228, 229 and 231. ~ ~ ~
Section VI, This ~resolution shall take effect ~mmediately upon its passage.
