Eotion by Yencho seconded by Spekulant to turn these bids over to the City Engineer
for tabulation. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Northern States Power Engineers were present and brought in Specifications for the
new White Way street lighting system .
Chet Her~inger asked that 41st Avenue by the Silver Lake School be fixed as this was
in bad condition.
~&r. Carl GuStafson, 3910 - 2nd St. brought in Petitions for Street improvements on
2nd Street between 38th and 40th Avenue. He vas to2d this street vould be temporarily
fixed on on~ side and' barracaded on other side until this could be permanently fixed
this summ~r~
Mr. Hahn wa~ in and asked the Council if it was possible to get sewer and water
installed on Washington between 44th a~d 45th as he was planning on building a
n~mber of houses there this year. He was assured this ~would be done.
Er. Geo. Knoll of 40th and Hayes was in and asked for a Water main extension.
The Council arranged to meet with him Sunday morning and discuss this.
The proposed plan for a water supply in Hilltop Additon was gone over.
Resolution offered by Yencho seconded bY Spekulant, BE IT P~HEBY RESOLVED by the
City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City Treasurer be and she
is hereby instructed to transfer from the Liquor fund~ as follows:
Tvo Thousand Dollars to the Police Dept. Fund~
One Thousand Dollars to the Fire Dept. Fund
Tv~lve Hundred Dollars to the Street Dept. Fund.
and that there are suf£7 cient ~oneys in s~id Liquor Fund to make such t. ransfers.

delegation from the School Board was present and discussed with the Council
possible location of a school ~ in Hilltop Addition.
Motion by Lange seconded by B~pekulant, that Plat for Hilltop Second Unit be approved,
subject to the following: That no Bull ~ding permits be issued on Block.1 prior to
June l, 1951 ~nd that Lots 7 and 18 in Block 2 be vacated and that Platters dedicate
those t¥o lots for Street Purposes. Roll Call - Lange Spekulant and Prestemon -

~otion by Spekulant, seconded by Lange, that the City Engineer be instructed
to draw up plans and specifications for extensions of sanitary sewer ~.d water
mains on Third street betv~en 37th and 38th avenues. Roll Call - All Ayes.

Co~ission be requested to take up the matter of rezoning to industrial the west
slde of Third street between 37th and 38th Avenues. Roll Call - Ail Ayes.
