Counoi~nan Dabl introduced the following resolution and moved its
adoption:
"A reso~ution determinXng w¥~t property will be benefited by the
following local improvement, towit, the construction of sanitary
sewer and ~urb and gutter on Tyler Street from 3?th Avenue N.E. to
39th Avenue N. E,, and fixing time of hearing with respect to benefit~
and to the proportion of the cost to be assessed against the property,
WHEREAS, the City Mana~em has made a careful estimate of the cost of
oonst~ueting sanitary sewer and curb and ~tter on Tyler Street from
37th Avenue N.E. to 89th A~enue ~..E., to~ether with a list of the
several lots and pa~oels oF land fronting upon and adjacent to such
improvement which he deems benefited thereby, and the names of the
owners of the several parcels as nearly as could be ascertained, and
W?FYEAS, contracts for thc making of such local improvements have bee~
heretofore duly entered into by unanimous vote of this Council,.
NOW, therefore, be it RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Colu~bla
Heights, Anoka County, Minnesot~', as £ollows~

(2) That this CoUnCil will meet on the 23rd day of December, 1929
at 8:00 O'Clock P.~i. at the High School Building in said City where
all persons interested may appear and be heard by the Council with
respect to benefits and to the proportion of the cost of the
ment to be assessed against their property and that the City
be and he hereby is authorized and directed to publish a list of all
such property, with the names of the owners as far as same can be
ascertained, together with a notice of the time and place when and wi~ers
such persons =my be heard, in the official newspaper of the City not
less than one week prior to the date of such meeting.

Councilman Gannon seconded the motion to adopt said resolution and upon
roll call it was adopted by the following vote:

roll call vote.
Letter read by Mr. Buck regarding the certificates of indebtedness.
Motion by Karrow, seconded by Dahl, that these communications from
Mr. Moody be placed on file. Ail ayes.
Alderman Dahl offered the following resolution, and moved its adopt-
ion.
"A Resolution directing the City Manager to advertise for bids for
fire apparatus either on a rental basis or by purchase.
WHEREAS, it appears that it iS necessary for the safety of the l~.~es
and property of the inhabitants of the City that additional fir~
apparatus be DArniehed for use ~ case of fire in this City.
Now, Therefore, Be it RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Columbia Heights, Anoka County, Minnesotc, that the City Managerbe
and he hereby is authorized and directed to advertise for ~ids ~ ~
publishing a notice one in each week for two successive weeks in t~e
official newspaper of the City for the following described fire appa.

The proposals therefor to state the price of such apparatus for an
outright purchase by the City and also an alternative proposal on the
basis of the rental by the City of such apparatus. That this Council
will nmet on the 23rd day of Dec. 192~. at 8 o'clock at the High School,
Building in said City to receive and consider such bids.

Councilman Karrow seconded the motion to adopt said ~esolution and
upon roll call it was adopted by the following vote:
Ail ayes.
Resolution offered by Karrow, seconded by Dab~, to transfer $1200. f~om
the permanent improvement fund to the Public Utility Fund. Passed by
unanimous Poll call vote.
Motion by Dahl, seconded by Cannon, to adjourn.
