Buck from Mr. ~ellon at the Hesevoip Plant, in regard to the lights along the boulevard being tampered withe Motion byKarrOW, seconded by Stinson, that tho City Manager take tile matter up with the Super. ~ of S~hools to see what can be done, Passed by unanimous roll call vote. On account of the denominations on tho certificates of indebtedness, which makes it impossible to ~ay Mr. Hackett $4~00. Mr. Bu~k recommended that he be given an additi~nal $~00, to apply on work already done. Resolution by 5tinson, 'seconded by Gannon,,to pay Mr. Hackett an additional $200. for work alreadF done. The City Co.oil of the City of Columbia Heights do ordain as follows: Section X Every person, before conducting or operating a cafe or reataurant in the City of Columbia Heights, shall obtain a license there- for from the City Co,~cil. The application for such license shall be filed with the City Clerk, which ap~'lication shall state the purpose for which the ~~ license is requested and the location of the premises in which the business of the applicant so licensed will be carried on. The City clerk shall transmit said aDplication to the City Council where it will be read at the fix'st meeting at w~ich it is received. At least one week shall intervene before the council shall grant or deny said license. during w ich time any one objecting to the granting of the same may pre- sent formal objections to the City Council. The license may be granted or denied at the next regular meeting of the Council after tho meeting at which the application 'was received. Before ~.ny such license shall be granted, the applicant shall deposit with the City Clerk the sum of Ten Dollars ($10.00) in p~yment therefor. Sedtion II Provided that no cafe or restaurant in the City of Columbia Heights shall remain open after three a.m. and that for any violation of this provision the ~ayor shall have the right to revoke said licmmse. 2ection III Provided further that in cases where any such cafe of restaurant permits d~ncing, the license fee required shall be ~.~ hundred Dollars per year, Section IV ,,ny person violating the provisions of this ordinance shall, upon conviction thereof before the Municipal Court of the City of Columbia Heights, be t.unished hy a fine of ~mt less than Ten Dollars $10.00) nor more than Ftfty Dellars (i~50.00) or b.:' imprisonment for not exceedi~ t&n days. from and This o, dinance shall'take effect and be in fo~e a~l~ (60) days/after its passage.
