A special meeting was called to order Tuesday, Oct. 18th, at the
High School Building for the purpose of considering bids on a Tractor
and Grader.
Roll call found all members present.
Some discussion between the audience and the Council members before
the bids were taken up.
The first bid:
Stockland Equipment Sales Company-- Certified Check $300.
P~ce .~1975. Add ~i~V0. if 14' blade is desired. Add ;~58.80 if 2
extra sets of 14 double end teeth are desired. Above prices f.o.b.
your specified shipping point.
Austin Western Road Machinery Company-- Certified Check $275.00
1. 32560.
2. 3485. (These prices include 2 extra sets of teeth or 3 in all
3. 1150.
A used Austin hip Snorter Senior Grader which they would rent for any
length of time not less than 30 days, at i~200, a month rental. Prices
were f.o.b. Einneapolis or St. Paul, terms cash v~thin 10 days from
date of invoice, less 2%, or cash not later than July let, 1930 witho~
interest.
Borchert Ingersoll Company-- Certified Check !~568.80.

The representative of each company then spo~e on the qualities of the
machine he represented. Several in 'the audience expressed their opin-
ions.

ful bidders be returned to them. All ayes.
~otion by G~nnon, seconded by Stinson to place ordinance ~68 on file
with the Secretary.
~otion by Karrow, seconded by Gammon, to accept the petition for Sewer
on Tyler St. from 3Vth to 39th and that the petition go through the
regular procedure. Also tht ~r. Buck be instructed to take it up at
the next meeting. Ca~ried.

to instruct the Northern States Power Company and the Northwest-
ern Bell Telephone Company to remove all poles from Central A e.,
from 3Vth to 42nd and place same in the alleys. Iv:etlon by Da_h~
seconded by Gannon, that the City kanager take the matter up with
the parties co:-,_cerned and report back to the Council at the

The Ordlnanoe transferring ~1200. from the Public Utility Fund to
the Permanmnt Improvement Fund was offered by Stinson, seconded by
Gannon. On Fo!]. Call, ali_ ayes.
The matter of injury to Lrs. K!lty was to be taken up by 'the City
Attorney.

structed to rent a trimeter or Grader for a period not to exceed 60
