Letter was read from Olaus~en & Carroll, St. Paul engineers,
regarding px~pos.ed improvement of the intersection of Central and
40th Ave. reporting on the result of conferences with both. the'State
Highway Dept. an~ the Hpls Street Ry 0o. City engineer, J. E. Carroll,
showed and discussed blue prints on this proposed improvement: giving es~
estimated costs of labor, material mhd inspection. He also gave the
approximate portion of the burden of this improvement of the Mple
St, Ry. Co; State H.lghway Dept and City of Columbia Heights: the
latter being mbout '$~00.00. He a~vised the council to again approach
both the Hlgh:~:~y .~ept ~n:~ St Hy co for aid on this improvement.

permission to erect fire~torks stand on lots 5 & 6 between 37th &
