Property owners s~ecuse8 council of "stalling" but action was taken by a unani- mous vote to retu~, petition. ' ~ · The budget for 'the ensuing year was' discussed in d.etail and the- public s~n'd interested pe.opl.e requ~ested to make 'remarks vchich might serve to assist the council 'in any act'ion taken. It. was fina,lly decided to submit a budget calling for. $70,66~.00. A resolution to, this e.ffect ws, s offered by Karrow., who mo~ed its s~doPtion, seconde~d by Dahl and carried, unanimously.. Deutsch' offered the followings; resolution and z~ove'd its ad~o~- tion: "Be it resolved by the city council of' the City- of Coltu~.bia Heights, that the city m~-ff&g~lis hereby instructed to confer with officials of the Northland Transportation compar, y and other bUs com- panies that pass through the city of Columbia HeigbtS,'to request ths~t a bus depot be established, where busses, north and south bound, shall~ come to a ~ll stop, .tickets be sold ~and in all other respects conform with the rules that are in other cities of this size. Said bus depot to be located at the Bergsls~nd l:[otor 0o., 4007 Centers! ~ avenue, This was seconded by Dab! and carrie~ by a vote of all ayes. Deutsch offered' the following resolution and moved its adop-' tion: ,,Ne it resolved by tbs city council of the City of Culumbia Heigb, ts, that no person shall hold a~y office of public trust, or' any 'salarie~] position in the City of Columbis, Heig'~ts unless be or she be a' resiSent of' sai~ city or of School Distriat I~o. 6~." This was seconded by Karrow and carried by a vote of all s~yes.'
