A~ter remarks a motion was made by Karrow, seconded by Bur- goyne, that' ,city manager take the matter .up with county commissioner and present the bill. Carried. Request from S. H. Kahn for a re- newal of._license to operate Fo2est P~iq~ for 1925. 5Ivved by Ledwien that request be tabled fox' further . consideration, and that council to imeet and study the ordinance govern- :lng and pertaining to granting the license. Carried. R~idents of Quincy street, ask for I cinders from. 41st Ave. to top of hill 'between 42nd and~ 43rd. After remarks a motion by Karrow that 5th St. be cindered from 5th St. and 40th Ave. to Mill St. 'Motion withdr~.wn. Ques- tion of cinders left .open. A petition from property; holders on Reservoir Blvd. that H. J. La Plant be graflted' the right to put a house on lots 11 and 12, Spains Addition, 38 feet baci~ from lot line as' lot will not permit any greater .distance. Motion by Karrow, seconded by Ledwien, that request be granted. Carried. The qnestion of paying city manager $20 per month fro' maintenanc, e of car came up and after remarks motion byj Ledwien that city manager ,be allowed '$20 per mont,b frdm Jan. 1st, no sec- ond. ~Motion lost. ~-Iotion hy 'Bur-~ goyne, seconded by ,Ledwie:a that city man'a~er be allowed $75. for the use .of his car from-Jan. 1st, 1925, to :July 1st, 1925, carried. A ~etition of~ nine property holders on 40th'for re- duction of taxes.
