Peterson read from taxpayers and residents for ex- cessive charges for laying of. water ~nain from Thirty-ninth Ave. N. E. to Gould Ave. along the alley to Central. After'remarks a motion by. Burgoyne, .seconded by Ostrander, the-t, city man-t ager be instructed to investigate and give figures at next regular moo}lng. Carried unanimously. Letter read from ,, Attorney Peterson in regards to John! Dubenka case. Motion by Ostrander,. seconded by Ledwein that city mane-1 get take up matter with'county attor-] ney. Communicat(on read from Col-1 ~ mnbia State Bank. Matter was left 'to] get two .weeks' vacation with pay. Sec- onded' by Burgoyne. Carried. Council- man Ledwein suggested that O~ficer Kuehn be. allowed for use o~ car on dnty. After remarks, Ostrander sug- gested that matter wait over until next meeti~g and be instructed to'find out ~rom court's records the average number of prisoners taken to Minne- apolis and Anoka in a month and re- port at next meeting. Joe Burgoyne asks.permission to operate stand at Thirty*seventh ~nd 'Central ~or 'the purpose of selling fireworks. Moved by Ledwein, seconded by Karo'ow, that Mr. Burgogne's request be g~anted..
