~[No. 22 were read, as follows:
the week of April Twelfth '(12th) to
nineteenth (19th) as clean-up week.'
The matter was left to the Mayor.
A mbtion' was made by Karrow, sec-
onded by Burgoyne, that City Mana-
ger be aflthorized to take up warrants
Nos. 515 516 517, if funds are avail-
able, ~nd. one thousand ($1,000) dol-
~tars on cer{ificates, of indebtedness.
'£~arried unanimously. City Manager
complains of children interfering
with .gate-valves a~d asks the par-
ents to instruct the children to keep
away from them. Mr. Tweedt took
the floor in regards to remarks made
by Mr. Kahn to Mrs. Ostrander in
the course of his .talk, and thought
the council should request Mr. Kahn
to apologize to Mrs. Ostrander for his
ungentlemanly conduct. Karrow spoke
on the questipn whether the police of-
ricers should .be left on salary or go
back on .fee basis; after 2emarks a
motion was made by Ledwein, sec-
onded by Ost~ander, that the new po-
lice salary be $125.00 rer month. Roll
