'Communication was read from'Thos. Flatley in'~regar0 to money owing him from S. H. ~2~.q-Council took no' action. The appliqation of A. C. Elsenpeter for a~ license to operate a pool and billiard hall at 620 40th Ave. Motion by Bur- goyne seconded: by .I~arrow that li- cense be granted carried unanimou ly. Councilman Karrow introduces res- olution }o read as follows: Be it resolved ,that City Co~ncil d~ mand an explanation from the pres- 'cUt clerk ~f the municipal court the bond required by l~w has ~ot been presented and filed.by him~. In regard to clos- ing of Van Buren St., the manager. was instructed to draw up petition and .liave it circulate& among property owners on Van Bureu from 40th Ave, to 45tk to get the opinion of the pe~ pie in regard to 'closing of'the street and alley. The questidn of:city attor- ney was discussed and on a motion by Ledwein seconded by Ostrander we hire Haley and Peterson as city at- ',torneys with the option of hiring a' ~prosecuting atiorney ,when we see ~fi~ carried unanimously. Mr.' ~Velsh asks ;the council what action ~they will tak~ ~in regard to plumbing in his ,buildi~. After remarks the city manager~ was authorized to take matter up with.
