Motion by Ledweiu, seconded by bstrander, that the City Manager be anthorized to pay any man, with add- ~(t responsibilities, 50 cents per day ~xtra. Roll call. ' Committee on getting permission to use the Oakwood School GYm for Sat- .urday afternoon court sessions, Mr. Karrow reports that the request was :g{'anted and Judge Keyes ma>] use the Gym for court purposes. The huilding 5rdtnance committee report laid over ':until a full board is present. : City Manager's and Treasm'er's bonds brought up ami .satisfactorily ~explained 'by Manager -.Leitch. - Mr. ,Thoren of 5th St. wished the council }to see what they could do in regards ito putting culvert to carry water off his property. After remarks, it was ':moved by Ledwein that the question o~ tiling be left to the City Manager. :To investigate further, Mrs. Grace ~Lomhard asked the council to inter- eede for her in regard ~:o getting lighf Tlie 'matter was left to Manager Leiteh. August Paterson and Mrs. A. W. Kinne asked to have a 1Fght oh t41st and Van Buren and 42nd and IVan Baren St... 'Shields took tile floor in regard to troubld with the electric inspector. Says he received letter fron'~ City Manager, to take up the matter .with the.council. After marks on b'otb sides, Mr. Glassoe of the General Electric Co. explains inab lets, and. advised~ the - parties con- cerned to get t.c~.etker and with the ordinance, settle tile matter. ., Motion by Ledwein, sec6nded by Ostrander, that tile meeting, be; 'ad- join'ned to Tuesday, S,~pt. 18th. 5IRS.
