Motion made .by Bentzen and' sec- onded by I~edwein that city pay cost of bond of Hazel A; Trucker as Notary Public and city to collect all moneys' derived through her offmial services. The committee appointed at the last s~ecial meeting to investigate and re- port on the matter of assessing front- age oi triangular lots ~or improvement costs'reported that to date nothing had been done in that regard. A letter from the factories asking for the fixing up of 37th avenue was read by City Rianager Corr, who was re- quested to take up with the alderman of the 9th ward, llinneapolis, the mat- ter. of the neighboring city payi~.g for the Tepair of this street from'Central to N. E: 5th street. It wa~ mentioned that Columbia Heights has spent many hnndreds of dollars in repairing this highway in other years and that tt was time BlinneaPolis did its share. · Matter of finishing 40th avenue im- provement by adding a covering 'of gravel and Tarvia was brought up' and discussed with the result that motion was made by Burgoyne and seconded by Ledwein that this work be done as soon as the weather conditions mit.
