Special Eeeting held ~ay 26 1922.
Roll Call:-
~..~ayor Cauvette, Councilmen Bentzen, Ledwien, ~.[cKenna
were present, Councilman Burg6yne was absent.
Resolution off erred by ~.'_cKenna, sec. by Bentzen, and on roll
. call unanimously carried, RESOLI~D that the sale of firecrackers
in the City of Columbia Heights be limited to a size, hot more
than 3 inches in len~hh, and that the time of sale of £ireworks
be confimmd to a period of, from June 28th to July 12th,1922.
Following resolution was off erred by ~[cKenna, sec. by Ledwein,
and on roll call was unanimously carried:-
Be It Resolved, by the. City Council of the City of Columbia
Heights, Anoka County, :~innesota, that ~n the opinoin of said
Council it is necessary and expedient that Fortieth Avenue(from
Reservoir Boulevard to Central Avenue) be i~uproved by grading
same to the established grade and .:macadamizing 20 feet wide and
8 inches thick, the macadamizing of road is not to be charged
to the abutting property but 50~ of the cost of grading said
road is to be charged to the abutting property, in ~ccordance
with plans and specifications on file in the office of the City
Clerk, which plans and specifications are horeby approved and
adopted; that at the Council Chambers in said City of Columbia
Heights, on the 13th day of June, 1922, at 8 o'clock P.M., the
City Council of Said City of Col. Heights will hear testimony of
all parties interested therein and, further, that this resolution
shs~ll be duly served by publicationof the same once in the Anoka
Herald and postin£~ a copy of said ~esolution in at least three
public places in said city.

roll call unasimously carried:-
Be It Resolved by the city council of the City of Columbia
Heights, Anoka County, ~Sinnesota, that in the opinion of said
Council it is necessary ~and expedient that Fortieth Ave.,(from
5th Str. to ~Iain Street) be improved by grading same to the
established grade, grade full width leaving a 56 fo~,t :rww~l~G~
roadway between curb lines, macadamizing 20 feet wide and 8t~~
£n~.h~__~ thi~k, in accordance with plans and specifications
on file i~'~ the office of the ~ity Clerk, which plans and
specifications are hereb~ approved and ad~pted; that at the
Xouncil Chambers in the said City of Columbia tieights, on
the lSth day~l of June 19£E at 8 P. M. the city council of
said city of Col. Hts. will hear testimony of all parties
intested ther'ein and, l~urther, that this ~esolution shall be
duly served by publication of the same once in the Anoka Herald
and posting a copy of said resolution in ~.t least three public
places in s~id City.

said City of Col. Heights, (from 40th Ave. to 45rd Ave.) be
improved by grading and macadamizing same, grade full width
of street and macadaLuizing 20 ft wide and 8 inches thick,
no charge for !~acada~uizing, but that 50% of the total cost
of grading said Street be charge~ to the Lov,,-n off Fridley,
and that 507~ of the balance of the cost of grading be charged
te the abutting propeTty on ~ain street within the city f
Columbia Heigys, all in accordance with plans and specifications
on file in the office of the City Clerk, v:hich plains and
~pecific~tions ~re hereby ap~wedand ~dopted; that at the
council chambers in the said city of Columbia Heighl~s on the
