Minutes of the last meeting were read and approved.
A petition was received signed by a large number of resideuts in
Roslyn park asking for additional bus service. Motion by Trench
seconded by Weldon that City Manager be instructed to write both the
Street Railway Co. and Columbia Transit Co.~regarding this. Roll

Motion by Nygaard seconded by Weldon to grant permission to park a
trailer to Vernon G. Heims at 4032 ~an Buren St. N.E. for 60 days.

proper funds. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Nygaard seconded by Weldon, The City Council
of~ the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that whereas, a new
working agreement has been consummated bstween the On-Sale Liquor
Dealers in Minneapolis and the Local Joint Executive Board of the
Hotel and Restaurant Employees and Bartenders, International Union c
covering, wages and working conditions or.employees in the Municipal
Liquor Store. BE IT IEHEREFORE RESC~VED.that this agreement is
accepted by the City of Columbia Heights.as to wages for Bartenders'
and Waitresses in the Municipal Liquor S$ore. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resolution offered by Yencho seconded bylTrench, The City Council
of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that the salary of
the Manager of the Municipal Liquor Store shall be set at $325.00
per month and that the wages of the Chief ~lerk in the 0fl-Sale
Liquor Store shall be $1.O0 per hour, effective as of Jan. l, 1949

in Hilltop Addition this year and this was tabled for further discussion.

to the Council the operation of their Bu~ Alarm and this was tabled
for further discussion.
A letter was received from Ben O. Thorson, 4340 Washington A~. N.E.
and he was also present, complaining of ppor draiuage conditions on
Washington between 43rd and 44th. He was promised this would be taken
oare of.
