April 13, 1948
Me,ting called to order at 8 P~M. All members present.
Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved.
Motion by Nygaard seconded by Weldon that the following petitions
be turned over to the City Manager and take their regular course:
41st Avenue between Reservoir Blvd. and StiMson - Curb,Gutter and
Sidewalk, necessary surfacing of said street.
Installation of water mains to property in Roslyn park.
Sidewalk on east ride of 6th street between'43rd and 44th Avenues.
Open up the North-South alley west of Reservoir Blvd. between 40th
and ~lst Avenues N.E.
Sanitary Sewer on 43rd Avenue east of Central Avenue N.E.
Road cut thru on Arthur Street between 42nd ~nd 43rd Avenues N.E.
also water connection.
Roll Call - All Ayes.
Ray Pritchard was present and discussed with the Council grading work
to be done in the park this summer, also th~ purchasing of a spray gun.
It was decidSd that City Manager get togethe~ with John Hurzyn and take
care of these matters.
Representatives from the ~ire Dep&rtmeht were present regarding the
land adjoining the Fire Station, and this was referred to the City
M~nagev and City Attorney for further repor~~.
Motion~by Nygaard seconded by yencho, that request of Minneapolis Gas
Light Co. be granted to install a 3 inch main on Jackson St. from
40th Avenue to 4044 Jackson. Roll Call - All Ayes.

7~EREAS the City Manager has heretofore made a carefUl estimate of the
cost of such improvement; and, ~fHEREAS a hearing has been heretofore
held before the Council in regard to approximate cost and benefits to
the several lots and parcels of land fronting upon or adjacent to such
improvement; and, WHEREAS AT such hearing no objection was heard as to
such costs or benefits; BE IT ~REBY RESOLVED by the City Council of
Columbia Heights that the City ~anager be and he is hereby authorized.
