First Reading of Ordinance ~Yo.230, being an Ordinance to amend Ordinance
~lV1 the same being an ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance for the purpose
of promoting health, Safety, order, Convenience and General Welfare
by regulating the use of land, the locatioa and the use of Buildings
and the arrangement of building lots and the denAity of population in
the City of Columbia Heights.

January 27, 1948
~leeting called to order at 8 P.M. All members present.
~inutes of t~e last meetiug were read and approved.
Russell Gordon, Arthur Ebert, Gerald Belden and Ted phillips representing
the Fridley town Board were present and discussed with the Council fire
protection for Fridley. Arrangements were made for them to meet
with our Fire Chief~ City Attorney and City N~naEerz on Tuesday Feb.
3rd at 8 p.~. at our Ci~ Office, to try and work out some eolution.
Representatives were present from the Fire Department regarding the
dumping of Refuge by the N.W. Linseed Oil Co. on City Property. The
City ~anager was instructed to notify the N.W. Linseed Co. to make
other arrangements.
Motion by Nygaard seconded by Weldon, to grant the Northern States
Power Co. permission to place a pole in alley between ~ain and cal-
ifornia, 39th and 40th Avenue. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Wygaard seconded by Weldon, to grant the following Licenses:

Second reading of Ordinance No.~30~ being an Ordinance to amend Ordinance
#lTl the same being an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance for the purpose
of promoting health, safety, order, convenience and general welfare bE
regulating the use of land, the location and the use of buildings and
the arrangement of building lots and the density of DpDulation in the City
of Columbia Heights.

First reading of Ordinance No.231, authorizing the sale by the City
of Columbia Heights of certain Real Estate known as Lots 5 and 6, Block
91 to the Chirhart Mfg. Co.
Resolution offered by Nygaard seconded by Weldon, BE IT ~'~REBYRESOLVED
by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City
Treasurer be and she is here by instructed to transfer the sum of
$2000.00 from the Liquor Fund to the Street Fund and that there are
sufficient moneys, in said Liquor Fund to make such Transfer. Roll
Call - All Ayes.

by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City
~reasurer be and she is hereby instructed to tranafer the sum of $2000.00
from the Liquor Fund to the Police Fund and that there are sufficient
moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer. Roll Call -

by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the City
