Minutes of the last regular meeting were read and approved. (Repairs) 43rd to 44th 45th to 46th. 200 feet south of 49th Avenue. 43rd to ~4th. 4~th to 40th 4$th to 48th. ~Oth to 81st. 42nd to 43rd. 43rd to 44th 3Vth to 40th 44th to 45th. 7~EREAS the City Manager has heretofore made a carefUl estimate of the cost of such improvement; and, ~fHEREAS a hearing has been heretofore held before the Council in regard to approximate cost and benefits to the several lots and parcels of land fronting upon or adjacent to such improvement; and, WHEREAS AT such hearing no objection was heard as to such costs or benefits; BE IT ~REBY RESOLVED by the City Council of Columbia Heights that the City ~anager be and he is hereby authorized. and i-structed to proceed with the construction of such improvement as soon as may be. Roll Call - All Ayes. A petition was received objecting to Sand Trucks driving on 3~th Ave. between ~aiu street and Univ. Ave. This was referred to the police Department with the recommendation that a load limit be put on this ~V~U~0 Bi~s were received from the following to install Water Mains : _~lo.1 ~rfei & ~ariani, Bt.paul, ~inn. No. 4 phelps-Drake Co., ~Tinneapolis, Minn. ~gotion by yencho seconded by Weldon, that these be referred to the City ~[anager for tabulation and report at next meeting. Roll Call- A11 Aye s. Bid received for installing sidewalk, Curb and Gutter from Victor Carlson & Sons. Motion by Weldon seconded by Yencho to reject this bid aud ask for new ones. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Nygaard seconded by Weldon that the following petitions be turned over to the City Manager and take their regular course: Sewer on Sixth Street between OOth and 8lst Avenue. Alley between 6th and 7th ~treets and ~Oth amid 81st Avenues. Sewer on Johnson street north of 39th Avenue. Sidewalk on west side of 8th street, between 49th and 80th. Alley in block 69. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Yencho secouded by Nygaard, that the petition for vacating an alley in Block $7, be turned over to our City Attorney. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by yencho seconded by Weldon, that the request of John~E. 01sen, l$1Z - ZTth Ave. N.E. for an off-sale Reer License, be turned over to the Chief of Police for investigation and report. First reading of ordinance No. BSZBeing an 0rd~nance to amend Qrdinance ~o.~07, being an ordinance concerning and regulating the liceqsing and keeping of dogs within the City of Columbia Heights. Motion by Ny~aard seconded by Yencho, that the Electrical LicSnse applications received from E.A. Lehn, Anoka, Minn., Lindgren glec. Co., Minneapolis and Skeldon-Green Elec.,Inc.,~inneapolis, be tabled until the next meeting. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Nygaard seconded by Weldon, to adjourn until Wednesday April ~Sth, 1948.
