Meeting called to order at 8:10 P.M.
Yencho and Soderholm. Weldon absent.
Roll Call - Nygaard, Trench,
Minu~es of the last regular meeting were read &nd approved.
Bids'were received from the following for Towiflg and Storage of Auto-
mobiles as requested by the Police Department:

Lennox "66" Service Garage, 4755 UniV. Ave. N.E.
Baker Service, 4354 Washington St. N]E.
Motion by Yencho seconded by Trench to give bid to Baker Service,
4354 Washington St. N.E. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Nygaard seconded by Trench, to place'communications on file
received from Clinton F. Schultz, Sec. of Municipal Band Board and
Russell A. Sahlstrom, Principal of Col. Heights~High.school, regarding
the purchase of nine additional Bam~ uniforms. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Resoiution offered, by Trench sec6nded by Nygaard, BE IT I!EREBY RE-
SOLVED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights that the
City Treasurer be and she is hersby instructed to transfer the sum
of $500.00 from the Liquor Fund to the Band Fund and that there are
suff{cient moneys in said Liquor Fund to make such transfer.

Motion by Nygaard seconded by ~encho to accept the Annual report for
1947 from the police Department. Roll Call - All Ayes.
Motion by Nygaard seconded by Trench to grant the request of the
Minneapolis Gas Light Co. for a Gas Main extension at 4Oth and 2nd
Street. Roll C~ll - All Ayes.

Se~er, be turned over to the City Manager and take its regular

with the Mayor.s appointment of Floyd Lawson, 4156 Monroe St.
to t'he Fire Department Civil Service Commission. Roll Call-All Ay6s.
