Resolution offered by Trench seconded by Nygaard, ~WHEREAS it has been recommended by the Columbia Heights Park Board, that John Murzyn be made Supervisor of parks and that his salary be increased $~5.00 per month. BE IT TPNEREFORE RES0~VED by the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights, that the salary of John ~;.urzyn be increased $15.00 per month, effective November 1st, 1947. Roll Call - Nygaard, Trench, Yencho and Soderholm. Weldon Absent. Minutes 6f the last meeting were read and approved. August Peterson was present and informed us there would be a Special Election on December 18, regarding Bonds for ~400,000.00 to bulld a new Court House in the City of Anoka. He also informed us two more Deputy Sheriffs had been added in Anoka County. Motion by Nygaard seconded by Yencho,to grant the following Heating Licenses: St. Anthony Sheet Metal Shop, ~608-33rd Ave. N.E. Cronstrom Heating & Sheet Metal, 4225 Hiawatha Ave. Roll Call - All Ayes. Motion by Trench seconded by Nygaard, to grant the following Electrical Licenses: 0. B. Resolution offered by Yencho seconded by Nygaard, THE CITY COIE~CIL of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that, WHEMEAS by ordinance the Taxicab rates to be changed in this city have to be aDproved by the City Council and WHEREAS it has been requested by the Heights Taxi Service to increase such rates to conform to those charged in the city of Ninneapo~is. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the rates for Taxicab service be henceforth set at twenty-five cents (.$.~5) for the first one-half mile or fraction thereof and ten cents ($.10) for each additional on-half mile or fraction thereof. Resolution offered by Nygaard seconded by Trench, TIEE CITY COU~.~CIL of the City of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that ~EREAS the Columbia Heights State Bank has furnished'collateral to the City for moneys on deposit in said bank g~eatly in excess of what is required b~ law. BE IT THEREFORE RE$0~VED that the City Treasurer be and she is hereby authorized to release upon request to the Columbia Heights State Bank such collateral which is in excess of that required by law. Resolution offered by Trench seconded by Nygaard, The City Council of the C~y of Columbia Heights hereby resolves that, WHEREAS the City Assessor has during the months of August through~' December been working on assessments which pertain to 19R8 assessing. BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that the Assessor for such work, be paid a lump sum corresponding to the monthly payments paid during the months, january through July of the year 19~7. Roll Call - All Ayes.
